Description
In Feature #10082, we changed the default search operator for archival descriptions from OR to AND, to improve the relevance of search results when submitting multi-term strings.
This enhancement will make the same change to the dedicated search boxes for Places and Subjects. Previously, a search for "city hall" would return terms including:
- city
- hall
- city hall
- city of dreams
- hall of mirrors
- city of mirrors and hall of dreams
With this change, only records with both "city" and "hall" in them will be returned. In the above examples, this would include:
- city hall
- city of mirrors and hall of dreams
