Description

Google user: jessica%...@gtempaccount.com

To reproduce this error: ========================
1)View treeview of fonds with multiple hierarchical levels.
2)Select series to view from context menu.

Resulting error: ================
Higher levels are compressed - you cannot view "Aunts and Uncles" to lower levels.

Expected result: ================
All higher levels viewable.
It is not necessary to see the lower levels beneath the level you are viewing, but the higher are necessary.

Jessica, we added this behaviour because showing siblings of higher levels was very slow when the number of siblings is very big. Ralf's approach for ArchivesCanada persists hiding siblings of higher levels. If they are really necessary we may have to revert that change, but it can be very slow and break ICA-AtoM for many sites unfortunately.

  • Status changed from New to Won't fix

We are getting rid of the expand/collapse buttons in ICA-AtoM 1.3. Won't fix.
