Description

When importing certain EAD files, sometimes duplicate creation dates get inserted into archival descriptions.

If you import the attached EAD with import:bulk, you'll see two duplicate creation dates for "A Canuck in England fonds":

1942 (Creation)

1942 (Creation)
Creator
Millar, Robert

I think the first creation date is not necessary. I think it might be because the XML file has both

<date type="creation" >1942</date>
and
<unitdate encodinganalog="3.1.3">1942</unitdate>

Hi Mike,

The title doesn't look like but we are talking about this in #4845. I'm waiting for decisions. ;)
