Advanced search filters not working as expected

The following filters on the advanced search sidebar are not working.
General Material Designation:
Using the GMD filter in combination with a search term always yields no results.
Compare term="ducks"
http://cvan007.vancouver.ca/index.php/search/advanced?f=&so0=and&sq0=ducks&sf0=
with term="ducks" + GMD="photograph"
http://cvan007.vancouver.ca/index.php/search/advanced?f=&m=1637575&so0=and&sq0=ducks&sf0=
Media Type:
Using the Media Type filter in combination with a search term yields results that are identical to the term used without the filter.
Compare term="vancouver"
http://cvan007.vancouver.ca/index.php/search/advanced?f=&so0=and&sq0=vancouver&sf0=
with term="vancouver" + media type="image"
http://cvan007.vancouver.ca/index.php/search/advanced?f=&t=136&so0=and&sq0=vancouver&sf0=
The other filters seem to work as expected.

Now it should work with all the GMD for a description. But the search index needs to be rebuilt again.
