The archival description Description control area includes some fields that don't readily map to either ISAD or RAD - so we devised our own custom EAD mappings for them using the general <odd> element some time ago.

One of these was Description identifier - a separate field from the Identifier field found in the Identity area.

Since at least 2.2, this field has used the EAD mapping of:

 <odd type="descriptionIdentifier">
    <p>Description ID</p>

Currently, this data is importing and displaying as a general note. I'm not sure but this could be a regression resulting from recent work on #6141? Attaching a sample RAD EAD XML file that used to import correctly.

Hi Mike, in my local qa/2.5.x env, I'm seeing the Description ID EAD mapping imported as both a general note and (in the Description control area) as Description identifier.
