This is an unsponsored suggested feature for a future version.
When you enter the name of a country in the copyright jurisdiction field in the PREMIS form, it uses this code:
to look up the country name here:
and transform it into an ISO 3361 code. Because the user doesn't know this is happening, if they do not use the exact spelling of the country as specified in the list, their spelling will be in the METS record rather than the country code.
It would be more user friendly to have a drop down list that starts to populate as you type.

An additional note that the same functionality could be used for statuteJurisdiction; however because statutes are often based on subdivisions (e.g. provincial legislation) we would need to consider expanding the country code lists to include the subdivisions, which expands it considerably!
